The key to creating a vibrant future for the arts is passing the love of it on to the next generation. WHAT IS LESSONPLAN? The Tower Theatre Foundation’s topnotch education and outreach programs known as LessonPLAN (Performing Live Arts Now), has unfluctuating nearly 26,000 students to performing arts in Central Oregon since it began in 2011. Students and teachers from public, private, and home school groups throughout Central Oregon are invited to shepherd matinee performances and in-school assemblies. Throughout the school year, LessonPLAN presents performances by local, regional, national, and international artists to inspire and engage students. Matinee performances and in-school assemblies represent a variety of arts disciplines and are specifically designed for young audiences of all ages. Supporting curriculum related materials are sent to participating teachers to prepare students for the performances. LessonPLAN programs engage young minds, enrich their educational wits and build a love for performing arts. Each year thousands of students will have the opportunity to wits unforgettable art experiences. Thanks to grants, the generosity of our donors, and The Stover Fund, participating schools are offered these performances at a minimal charge. Information well-nigh the LessonPLAN season is sent out to all Central Oregon schools in the Fall and throughout the school year. Requests from schools are wonted on a first-come, first-served understructure as seats are available. For increasingly information please contact The Tower Theatre Foundation’s Education Manager Dani Wyeth. In 2011, the Tower created the Stover Fund, honoring longtime Bend philanthropists Ruth and Dutch Stover, to help expose increasingly young people to world matriculation arts and culture. Now six years and nearly 26,000 students later, the renamed Tower Education Fund is poised to underwrite LessonPLAN programs for flipside record breaking year. Please join us in raising $30, 000 to connect students and enhance education through the performing arts.
